Summer Urban Homesteading Camp

Summers are for playing outside, gardening, and exploring the forest and creek. Join Gloria and Elena at Valley of the Flowers School for a unique summer care experience.

Children ages 3-9 are welcome to join in a family style summer care program where rhythm, play, nourishing food, outdoor experiences, and deep rest are cultivated.

We will begin each day outdoors playing in the natural playground at VFS. Then a walk on the Gallagator Trail for exercise and exploration. Healthy homemade snack will be served upon returning from the walk and more outdoor fun will be had. The children will then be indoors out of the sun during the heat of the day for lunch, some indoor art and play activity, and rest time. After rest we will head back outside for snack and playtime.

This program is designed to feel like an urban family homesteading experience. We will be gardening, baking, exploring nature, and learning social skills together. Circle time, stories, yoga, watercolor painting, and singing will be woven into the curriculum.
